Kira: I was given my first restaurant job at 13, and with the exception of a few years I spent as a writer and editor, have never left the business. I have a culinary degree, but now find myself at a desk job (though still in the restaurant industry). This makes me lucky in the sense that I still want to cook at the end of my work day (unlike my colleagues who spend 12-hour days on their feet in hot commercial kitchens). This blog is a combination of recipes, news, reviews and all other things food and drink.
